Someone over on the CW forums pointed me this way and said I should sign up and post the photos of the sidecar rig I just finished restoring.

1968 RGM kneeler racing outfit. Made in the UK originally, brought over to the States in the 80's. It's run the IOM, Brands, Laguna, Sears...

Fully street legal, currently registerd and insured. Finished the restoration Thursday, took it for it's first ride in over a year yesterday. Only thing I'm waiting on at this point is for my vinyl guy to finish my decal package. 83 Yamaha XS-650 CDI motor with Sudco FCRs where a Triumph 650 twin used to sit... I did all the work myself, with the exception of the paint, that's the only thing I'm really terrible at.

And now that this one is finished.... This is my next project. I just
picked this up last month. 2003 CSR powered by a 2004 Honda CBR 1000 RR
motor. This will be a dual purpose Race / Street rig. I'll have a second
body that will have all the lights and street running gear that will allow
me to do a quick swap between street use and track use. I've never seen
a true F1 long chassis with a license plate before. My Wife and I will
be running this rig, with her driving, and myself delegated to passenger
duty.

But, I don't expect to have this one ready for several months. The only
parts I've picked up so far are a complete CBR1000RR wiring harness and
left and right CBR1000RR switchgear, both off eBay for a decent price.

I WANT ONE
I WANT ONE
I WANT ONE
I WANT ONE
I WANT ONE

I'm thinking the only way that will ever happen though is if I build one myself. You don't see many of these just sitting around for sale.

Great rig !!!!
Bet that some cop will eventually pull you over and ask for legal papers on that baby... Best part is that you can grin ear to ear and hand over all the documents and drive off --------Legally!!!!!!!!! Can't touch ya!!!!
Great workmanship deinitely a keeper!!!!!!!(until the next great project/challenge comes along). Enjoy

Out of curiousity what do you plan having on the deck. I'm getting a side-deck for my electric wheelchair made, but this is not wide enough for that. Looks great though, wish I could do stuff like that.

Way technical question for you - how did you insert the pictures into your post? Cut and paste doesn't seem to work. Inquiring minds and all that... Thanks,

it's HTML...

<img src="" ">"

I gave that a shot when I noticed standard UBBCode tags were
not working... I'm linking offsite to my images which I host on my
personal webspace. I'm not actually uploading or attaching any images
to my posts or followups. Just adding pointers to the images on moike.net
