What shocks are you using and what is the actual length of them top of eyelet to top of eyelet? Mine are Konis and are 7610's no longer produced by Koni but reproduced by Ikon. They are 12 1/4 long with 183lb to 223lb springs. I need to replace these and the prices I'm getting are horrendous. $335 to $900.Only Works Performance NEVER answers emails sent 5.

My rig is under a tarp, buried in the garage for winter, so it's difficult to get out there to do a measurement.. But, I believe i used 12 1/4" Progressive Suspension 418 series shocks with a 225 lb spring setup on my home-built Leading Link front end - i designed the front end around these PS HD Big-twin spec shocks. Initially they were too stiff, but the springs relaxed with 2 seasons usage. They weren't cheap, at just over $400.00 with the shop 'good guy' discount applied.

Adjustable, disassembleable, and rebuildable - in theory.

The one thing about PS.. in my experience (and this going back three years now) - they've discontinued particular designs of shocks in the past, and re-designed using the same product no. designation - eg. i had one set of 418's I had bought off of ebay for this purpose at a very good price, and then found out after the fact that the Eibach springs were not orderable through PS for them any longer, because PS had redesigned the 418's with different specs, using different circumference collars for the coil springs - these 'orphan' shocks ended up getting re-used later for my sidecar suspension as is, but they were useless for customization to the spring rates that needed to be used on my front end. I didn't check with Eibach direct to find out if i could source the springs through them direct, however.

Lesson learned: If you get the PS shocks for full price, they are the current model, and parts are available - the ones on ebay were on fire-sale clearance for a reason.

I've been told there are seal kits for them, and the model 418 set i have are 3 way adjustable. I haven't had a need to rebuild my current set in 20,000 km/3 years to know what the rebuild kit involves.To be 100% sure on the rebuild question, contact PS direct.. they've got an (800) tech support line for inquiries - i made use of it in sorting out my outdated 418 series fiasco.

Seem a little garish, but whatever floats your boat 🙂

Are you putting these on an existing front end, or one that you are fabricating?

For what it's worth;
I'm finding more and more that companies are stressing out about e-mails. many of the people answering them can barely spell. You'll usually get more info, quicker, if you call on the 'phone. It often makes it easier if you can't figure out a part number, too.
