First post-I have a Ural and BMW/GS rig.Came across this EML for sale-have always wanted one.Has been off the road for a number of years.Seems like a nice rig-just needs maintenance.Priced at $3500.Thanks for any input. Mickey

Welcome, Mickey!  Could you give us some hints as to where you are located and where the rig is located?  Our members are pretty good at looking after each other and if you want someone to go put eyeballs on it on your behalf, chances are someone will be near enough to do so.

Hi Mickey, welcome!

As you may know, the Bricks are there own kind of animal and come with their own learning curve. Beware the odometer miles, many are inaccurate. The ABS is controlled by Dark Arts and while serviceable, it's older technology and prone to being a bit finicky. I would assume this bike would benefit from trail reduction mods, you might want to look for that. From my experience, K bikes like to be regularly exercised, they frequently do not respond well to sedentary lifestyles... FWIW....

Thanks for the reply-my biggest concern is with the prices of sidecars.Does anyone have a good idea what this unit would be worth up and running?I think about close to 2K in money -above purchase price will give me a good bike. But is that to much for this model EML?

I doubt anyone with experience will say that $2k above the “value” of the bike for an EML rig is a problem.  EML cars are extremely well built and if this rig was set up some time ago, it will have become well sorted out to still be part of a rig.  All those are very general statements, but accurate overall.

Are you able and willing to have any of our members put MK1 eyeballs on it on your behalf?
