Very nice looking sidecar.
The jupitor and sputnik sidecars are both metal bodies. Nose flips up on a sputnik and on a jupitor it slides forward for entry and exit. I think th eone pictured is a Jupitor possibly modified.
I want to thank everyone that took time out to help, I think I found out what it is, a Dauntless Flying Tiger made in USA, that I saw on another site, so thats what I'm going with. I have three other Harleys and this 1953 Harley with a sidecar I just bought and can't wait to try it out. I even downloaded a book to give me some tips on safe riding, can't wait till the snow is gone in Ohio, thanks again.
Dauntless was the last importer of the Sputnik. You have a modified Russian made Sputnik.

May be in USA you caled it jupitor, but it is sputnik. Well in Usa you call something football wich not play buy foot. And ball looks more like an egg. May be proper name for it egghand, handegg or american rugby? Who knows...

BTW Jawa once marketed a neat 2 cylinder two stroke 350cc bike they called the California in the USA in the sixties.
I think it looks a lot like the Jupitor motorcycle you describe, and could have been fitted with the Jawa sidecar too.

Jawa made many bikes any size you want over the years. Jawa made in chehoslovakia and velorex sidecar made for jawa. Jupiter and planeta made in russia in city Izhevsk. Sputnik sidecar made for izh in city Vyatsko Polyany. Totaly different machines. You can google it. Or watch a lot of them on youtube. Also you can find there a old velorex/oskar 3 wheeel car from 1950th. Java Californian model is same as standart Jawa only have separate oil injection for people who can't mix gas with oil for 2 strok. If anybody have Jawa and want to sell it(for resonable price) i will buy it.
