hooked up and driving
I got my Champion Escort mounted on the frame Friday night and got the wiring done Saturday before having to take the girls to Kennywood park. Friday the rig was delivered to me by Bob Wark of the Warkshop in Marietta, Ohio. Bob was very informative towards me ever since I was layed up with broken ankle. I found the side car on Craigslist and I could not have asked for nicer people to purchase from after I told them I had broke my ankle the deliverled it to my house free of charge, Then I had to wait 3 weeks for the Champion Corp to make the specific mounts for my 2009 Roadglide, The day I got the parts I called Bob and he told me he was full up but would work me in as that weekend he was going to a BSA gathering and I could bring it down on Memorial day, 2 day after I was released from the doctors He told me to give up riding fro the year that is why I went the side car rout plus it look cooler than a trike. Now that HD to mass producing them they are not special. But the side car is. I took it to Bob's that Monday and he had it back to me the following Friday The 11th, He also delivered it to Morgantown Wv as I could not find a trailer or a truck after I found a trailer. He was great delivered it to a large parking lot and unloaded and we put 120# of ballast to the frame and I did figure 8's in the lot to get customed to driving instead of riding. Bob stayed till I felt confortable with the ride. If anyone needs something done see Bob's web site very friendly and got lots of information to share. I took it home and work getting the car mounted and electrical run.
On Sunday I took it out for a solo ride put 100 mile on it on interstate and 2 lane mountain road here in WV. It was fun and a learning experience. My wife was a little hesitent at first but I promised her a dinner ride and she bite. I took her on an 50 mile interstate ride and she loved it telling everyone that night that she could sleep or get on facebook and answer the phone while in the sidecar. If anyone is in the Morgantown WV area would love to get together for some rides will be looking for gatherings of tugs in the future

Welcome Chuck and Karen, you will really enjoy the sidecar, hope that you can download the books available on the site here, and if possable take a sidecar class, I think WV, has classes, check the training section of the forum. Be safe, and have a great time.
.
Hope you enjoy your rig as much as we enjoy ours.
By the way, we only live about 15 minutes from Kennywood.
Good luck
Jay

Welcome Chuck and Karen!
I'm about 25 miles north of Pittsburgh.
First time with 2 passengers on Sunday, one beside and one behind. My nieces and I had a great time!
(they chose the pose...."I want to look like I'm driving" and "I want to look like I'm falling off")
Anyone from western PA want to get together for a ride?????
