I am looking for a 165/80r-16 car tire for my 1994 Goldwing with California Sidecar. Anyone know the source?

It doesn't exist. You can use 175/55-16 - 175/60-16 it is little smaller then oem, or 175R16 Taxi tire it is little bigger. My choice is 2nd one. Bought it from Universal Vintage Tires in PA.

175/60-16 fits easy on the 1500 I've ran them on my '95 and '98 GL1500's. Yes it is a bit smaller diametricely but MPG did not change. I ordered mine from Discount Tire I think my last one was a Falken branded tire. I may still have it because I am running a 15" rim on my '95 GL 1500.
Shoot me your phone if you want to buy it.

Your mileage did change. Your odometer doesn't know you changed tire diameter. It may not be noticeable due to different driving conditions you encounter.

Mileage runs off the front tire on GL 1500's. I am pretty diligent about watching MPG's.

Not trying to start a war but if my mileage did change I'm sure I would have noticed it I have ran that tire combination for at least 24,000 miles. This reminds me how do I get better mileage running in 4th not 5th in hilly terrain ? When the engine is running closer to its peak efficency you will get better mileage. Lower rpm's do not necessarily mean better mileage.
