Easy to pilot a sidecar.
Yesterday I was talking with an old friend. He's got some health issues that have lead to some issues with balance. I suggested he think about a sidecar. He said he's considering it. I said, "You'll need to learn some new skills." To which he informed me he knows already all there is to know. That is don't put your foot down, push right to go right, push left to go left. Dang it! I never realized it was so simple!!
Tom,
If your friend really does, "push right to go right, push left to go left", he'll soon find he has a problem getting where he wants to go. ;^)
Tom,
He probably knows all there is to know about women too. No more surprises in his life. lol
I'm sure you're very right about that Lonnie! Good point!
He will be fine as long as he knows about right turns flying the chair and left turns about the rear wheel coming up.
One of the reasons I put a hack on mine is the doctors say in 4 to 6 years I could be in a wheel chair but at least I will keep on diving my rig.

23 years with the same one and still each day a new surprise. Unlikely not always the sweet ones...
Let her grumble. Its too late for a model change.
I am out on 2 wheels....because the 3 wheels needs a new engine.
Out of the door for a minivacation...

:O Is the "yes" a binding obligation even in the case the fiance only has been persuaded? 😉

🙂 ...in the good days as well as in the bad days, then declare with me: wrroomm 😉
In the youngster times the bikes lasted more then the girlfriends...those times are gone since case 1.... Ohne Kommentar, Herr Kommisar.

The Coeur d'alene National Sidecar rally was a success. We had 176 registered sidecarists join us for 4 days of fun and frolicking in the North Idaho country. We had sunshine Thursday, a torrential rain on Friday (remember I said it never rains in July?) and beautiful sunshine on Saturday and Sunday. We had a delicious meal with all you could possibly eat of a steak fry with all the trimmings put on by the local St.Vincent de Paul Society. The Gondola ride at Wallace in the Silver Valley was magnificent. There were 47 people that went on the ride. The scenery around the Coeur d'alene area is something to behold. Billie and I want to thank each and everyone of you who attended our rally. We had fun and hope you did too. Dave Irvine , N.W. Director
I hope you can persuade him to listen to you when you are trying to tell him how to pilot a sidecar. I have been piloting one since 1983 and when I took the Idaho Star program's sidecar course last Summer, I learned several new tricks! you are never too old to learn no matter what anyone tells you!
