Can anybody give me an idea of the number of sidecar units or folks that will be attending. I'm lust wondering how much variety to expect, we and our friends will be riding down from Hot Springs, AR on a couple of H-D's. Also will there be more info posted for possible rides and such, thanks Alan

PS No I am not looking for a Wingding or Bikerfest with leather, sunglass and beer venders.

Hi Big Al: Looks like there should be a couple of dozen rigs or so.

Look for updates here: http://www.sidecar.com/mbbs22/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=9884&posts=29&start=1

Here's the "scheduled" events as of now:

Friday May 4th: Meet us for lunch en route at the El Tio Restaurant on TX87 North in Hemphill 'bout 11:30.

We're also stopping to pick up some world-famous Zwolle Tamales on the way down. They come in Mild, Regular and Extra Hot for $6/dozen. Let me know if want some.

I'm thinking of lighting a fire to warm up tamales, hot-dogs, etc. come Friday evening.

Saturday May 5th: Breakfast ride: Riders meeting at the KOA at 8:05am, wheels rolling at 8:15am for a 36 mile ride via FM1 and TX21 to the Pinto Pony Cookie Factory & Restaurant in downtown San Augustine. Should you plan to meet us there, breakfast is at 9:30. The folks at the Pinto Pony plan to have us the Dos dos dos Breakfast Especial since it will be Cinco de Mayo: 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon & drink for $7.50, tax included.

IMPORTANT: The Pinto Pony is a limited service restaurant and I need to give 'em a head count by Friday noon -- so please RSVP here or PM me if you plan to come.

Saturday afternoon will be tech/bull sessions and/or sight-seeing/ice cream runs. Saturday evening meal is TBD.

Thank you JR and Lee for the Rally info. Lee I don't think we will be there in time for lunch on Friday and I will get back to you re: tamales. Sounds like the makings for a good time! Thanks again, Alan
