Hi Bill: Did you add the white "racing stripe" on the sidecar? If so, where/how/etc as I'm considering adding such to our rig.

The Guzzi was red w/ white stripe when I found her. When I had Hannigan build the car for me, I originally wanted it simply painted red to match the Goose. One of the guys at Hannnigan suggested the stripe on the car, and I went with it. It does look good, but the overall "look" kind of implies that I can ride faster than I really like to...

EDIT: FYI, here is a better look at the paintwork:

I added the rack, the tie-downs (for strapping gear) and the "1000SP" graphic to fill the gap up front:

Good Morning Claude; It's rainy and nose-running cold here, but I'm really thinking about taking a ride anyway, just to show us sidecarists don't let weather stop us.

My point: it won't be drool you see inside my visor~

Yep, it's sure looks fast. I agree with Claude, it looks great. I may ask a local auto paint shop re: racing stripe.

So where did you find the rack? I have a "Classic" and have been looking for a nice rack.

That's an older (pre 90s I believe) Goldwing rack, found on eBay. They are not too hard to find; took me only a few days.

(You may notice that I did mount it reversed; I wanted the mounting legs located over the supported areas, as opposed to the trunk lid taking all the stress.)

Tgoodman....

Welcome to the "club". I also live in Miami, Miame Shores and also own a Champion Escort hooked to a BMW R1200C. I have a buddy with another 12C hooked to an Ural. We have 3 to 5 of us riding almost every weekend, usually Sundays, for 200 to 500 miles out of Miami, usually west and then north around the lake and back. Some very interesting times. Please send me a pm and I will send you more info. As for covers, I use 2, one BMW for the bike that is very waterproof (expensive) and the one that came with the Champion that will keep dew off, but not rain. My rig also sits outside or outside under the "tent" I made with PVC poles and a fairly good waterproof tarp and bungee cords. Seems to work. We are buying a house with a garage, and can't wait. As for trailer, my bud with the hack has a folding, stand up on its butt when not in use trailer that he is going to modify a bit to make it wider to fit the hack. You can use it now for one very large bike, or 3 very small bikes, but it needs some mods for the hack. The tilt trailer on this thread looks very interesting. We too are looking for a trailer, but we still ride twice a year up to NC and VA for vacations. Usually 3K or so a trip. With your wife not up to that, I can understand your interest in the trailer. Hell, maybe we could buy one together and share it. Anyway, send me a pm and I will get back to you.
