Many of you know one the nicest guys on the planet, Charlie Nassau. Those of you who went with us on the Great Yellowstone Raid will remember Charlie and Peggy on their high performance rig. A little while ago Charlie was heading down to Bike Week on his rig, traveling alone. He was in a horrific accident that put him in the hospital. I won't go into the specific injuries but just say that they were so serious that Charlie was put into an induced coma for weeks and the injuries will affect the rest of his life.

Happily, Charlie was brought out of the coma and is now able to recognize people and is trying to communicate although he still has a breathing tube. Now that he knows what's going on it would be great to send him encouragement and good wishes. Your cards and notes would be really appreciated. Charlie is at...

St. Mary's Hospital
901 45th Street
West Palm Beach, FL 33407

His email address is vtcandp@gmail.com although I'm not sure he can get email in the hospital. I know sending a card these days is a pain but a card would be so much better at this time.

If you're a praying person, please add Charlie and Peggy to your prayers.

Done deal. Sent a note and let him know a lot of prayers are going up for him and that he's got a Texas BBQ dinner waiting for him post recovery.

I spoke with Charlie Nassau today. He is still in Florida and it looks like he has chosen to recuperate there for a while. He is in a nursing home now, out of the hospital, which is a good thing. He is in good spirits and even talking about getting a rig built that he could drive from the chair. Charlie said he wouldn't be with us in Colorado but he's planning on being at the 2017 rally.

Charlie has a long way to go but it now sounds like he's making progress.
