It's official. BOD has approved the 2016 rally site. July 8-July 10. Delta county fairgrounds Hotchkiss Colorado. Dana is already finalizing every thing.
Putting on a national is a large undertaking. All help will be appreciated,I am sure.

It's 1200 miles via interstate from my house to Hotchkiss, and closer to 3000 miles via the route I'd rather take, but that sounds like a great rally ride to do. I'm putting it on my calendar!

There's obviously great twisty mountain roads all through that area for all the street rigs. Hopefully, though, Dana can put together a few dirt loops of varying lengths for the GS guys to go out and explore.

I plan on going as well. Google says there are only two hotels in Hotchkiss. I'd plan on making hotel reservations plenty early or maybe just plan on packing the tent right from the get go... Should be a fine trip and a fun rally.

There are more motels in Paonia, about 8-10 miles away. Plenty of rooms, not so far away.

I recommend a side trip ride to Dinosaur monument national park for some of the most stunning scenery in the Lower 48.

All,
I just got back from a blast to L.A. for the Griffith Park Rally and after getting things back on track at work I am getting back to the 2016 rally planning. I have sent in the paperwork to Delta County for the fairgrounds so hopefully I will have those dates locked in real soon.

As far as lodging there are a couple of nice motels just outside of Hotchkiss and plenty of other places to stay and I will get these all posted up for everyone after I get the dates confirmed with the fairgrounds.

Stay tuned as there is plenty more to come.

On another note we have been using this facility for our BMW club rally for a few years so I have quite a bit of information about rides and such so I do not think anyone will be dissapointed. I have several rides already laid out for street and GS type riding and a few combinations of both. We will be a little over a hundred miles one way from Moab and for those who would like to do a ride to Moab I can also recommend a few different routes that I am sure will entertain any type of rig.

Great Question.

Hotchkiss in 2016

Should put a link to Monumental 2015 Black Hills Rally info.

""""USCA Sponsored Rally Info"""" Check this thread

I got confused at first also.

I searched very where and even in the Calendars no 2015 Rally .... Wow this group must really be organized or run in stealth mode... 🙂

Never mind I found the thread on Google ..... is there a registration at USCA?

It is the second thread in the "U.S.C.A. Sposored Rally Info"
http://sidecar.com/mbbs22/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12561&posts=22&start=1

You can also go to the United Sidecar Association main page and click on USCA National Rally
http://sidecar.com/rally.asp

They do not hide it very well.
