Lots of people use the paypal system, but for me the stamp will be my choice. My comfort level with online purchases is not very good, but have done it periodically with sites I trust will not sell my info. Got kids who don't even know what a stamp is used for, but for me I tend to resist the "newer" technology until it is "proven" to my satisfaction. I do believe that paypal is worth checking out and that it might be a good thing in the long run but also allow the choice between on line or by mail. Maybe some day I will be successfully dragged into the world of complete on line bill paying, but just not today.
PayPal would aid in the "impulse buy". I know I found out about the USCA some time ago, but since I had to download, print out, fill out, write a check, find an envelope, buy a stamp, and mail it all in, it took me a month (I know, sad) to get around to finally sending it all in.
If there was a PayPal option, I'd have been signed up a while ago.

Checked into this a little more as I've run into a number of folks recently who are sidecarists, but not members even though some have been on sidecars for years. Anyway, it turns out that the Paypal thing is pretty straightforward. You sign up and then add a link/button for payment for those who want to use that vs mail and you're pretty much done - no extra web programming or anything. And, you can use multiple buttons if you want to use them for the USCA store as well. Hope that helps if folks are interested.
We are working on it.
Apparently the labor of making out and sending a check once a year is quite an onerous task for some of today's sportsmen (& women).

LOL, Lonnie.
Yep, we've become a fast food, internet, on-line banking society. My phone is smarter than me and I'm having to learn to text to keep up with the kids. But, if we want more folks to become members instead of just forum folks, making it available online and immediate is likely to encourage that. I don't have a dog in the hunt, except that I'm in favor of more folks being connected. Just trying to help.
I really agree with SideCar, and you can still maintain the postage system. Just offer both. As for a Web Master, there has got to be one in our group somewhere. Maybe a mass e-mail to solicitate one. Just my thoughts.

There is NO talk among the members of the Board about ever stopping the current system for renewals, just adding to it. I don't believe that we will ever stop taking checks through the mail for those who prefer that way to pay. The idea is to make things faster and easier for folks who are comfortable with electronic payments. You all know that our membership is growing older and accepting electronic payments for membership, rally registration and eventually for club logo merchandise may appeal to potential younger members and now seniors are among the fastest growing groups of internet users.
