Dues renewal
SECRET (or...secret)
On a 5 year schedule, like....2025, then 2030, then 2035....pay for 5 years in advance, and not worry about it every year.

I think that we are now able to renew for more than one year at a time online rather than having to send a check (much more challenging for treasurer and membership).

I answered Michael's query by email to him. We cannot renew for more than a year now as a safety restriction by our payment processor (Stripe). I can work around that by manually editing accounts but, as of now, payments for more than a year must be paid by check.
But what helps is with the new membership system enters memberships as subscriptions. What that means is the system will automatically send you a renewal email or two when your expiration date comes up. If you do nothing you will automatically be renewed. Effortless on your part and mine (as the membership manager). So really, you shouldn't need to pay multiple years in advance.
This is the way most modern subscriptions work. Think about your news sources (NYTimes, Wash Post, USAToday, etc). If you subscribe to any news or membership site do you know when they expire? Probably not. You get an email saying you will renew soon and then another email later saying it is done, thank you very much.
Our new membership system works just like that.

@mgv8 Wondering the same.. Went to my account and the last time a payment was listed was 2023 .. I know I paid for several years after that.
So not being sure of where I was I renewed.. Even though it listed my membership number it renewed as a "New" member. All good.
