Rig wanted
Looking for Africa Twin DCT with adventure type sidecar.

Might be worth reaching out to Texas Sidecars. They've built a few, and may know someone looking to sell.

Good luck! Hope you'll post up what you end up getting. 👍

Except...that is not a DCT bike. That is the manual transmission bike, and the OP wants a DCT transmission.

How can you tell FM? Is there a visual clue in the pics that differentiates the DCT from the non-DCT? The only way I know how to tell is by looking for a gearshift lever or a clutch handle.
Yes DRONE @ned, I can tell by looking at the right side of the engine, as I know what a DCT engine side cover looks like. On any Honda bike with the DCT trans, there is a very distinctive side cover n the right side of the engine.
Here are two pictures from the Honda website, showing both the Adventure Sports, and the standard Africa Twin, but both have the DCT transmission.

Oh, yeah, I can see it now!
Thanks!
@jwhat If you want to chat about particular design parameters, I have managed break/fix/break/fix one rather endlessly. Mine is getting more robust with each iteration (harder to break).
You want to think carefully about what type of riding you will do with the rig.
Light gravel roads; then about anyone's take on the AT will work.
If you are going to do more BDR type routes, then most will break, eventually.
Two good resources: Jon Skagen/Kent Silk at Texas Sidecars. They have been learning from my adventures and helping out with hardware improvements.
Chuck Loftin, in Eugene OR. Chuck is (eventually) working up a frame/subframe for a couple of AT's in his shop, or maybe soon to be in his shop. He built the leading link front end on mine, and it is ROBUST.
It sounds painful, but once you get an AT dialed in with a rigid mounting system and a low trail amount leading link, they are a blast in the desert and crazy fun on grader dirt roads.
You can definitely chase other ADV bikes around (and catch most of them.) The bike is not the weak point. Mounting hardware and frame design is.
Personally, I think the DCT is great on a hack rig in the dirt. I geared mine down a little and it never ceases to amaze me at the stuff it will climb.
