Is that a Champion car or a California Friendship?

Looks exactly like the Champion Escort I once had. They changed the trunk opening from the bottom to the top, or visa-versa mid-production stream.

That is a nice looking rig. Your ad does not mention it but is the front end modified to ease steering effort?

Thanks for the question Big Tom!

Yes, the rig has the EZ Steer front end from Champion.

(Gonna try to edit first post to put this info up there!)

Mike

Could you post a picture of the sidecar interior?

Or you can send it to jim@dodmead.net

Thanks.  Best, Jim

I am out of town at the moment and can post a pic when I get back next week.  The passenger seat is like new as I have taken out the seat to carry my dog.  The seat is easily put back into the car.

Attached are some pics of the inside of the car.  I have used the car 99% of the time to carry my dog - a non-shedding Bernedoodle.  Accordingly, the pics have the seat removed and "flooring" over the carpet on the floor to make it more comfortable for the dog.  I am also attaching some pics of the seat which has been in storage.  The seat attaches to the car with two bolts that can be seen on the piece of wood I use for the dog tether.

Hi CCjon.  I purchased this rig from Banner Guy.  You were right about the GL1800 being a good tug.  Have you pulled the sidecar off and ridden the bike as a two wheeler?  I used to do that with my K1200LT/Motorvation rig.  Do you run a rear tire on the front wheel?  Appreciate it.  Best, Jim

Hey dodmead, when I had my 2005 GW hack I ran a Bridgestone Bt45 on the front. That tire has since been replaced with the BT-46 which does not need to be mounted in reverse (They say).  Good luck with that rig.  Tom
