Hello David and welcome seeing as that was your 1st post.

After you post a couple of more times to satisfy the anti bot rule and prove you are really a person you will be able to post some pics of the mighty F6.

But a question if I may.

I assume that unlike me you are in the US of A?

If so in which state? 

Members live all over as are people who manufacture subframes etc.

Being down under and a fabricator by trade I would just lay on the ground and look at the bikes undercarriage till I came up with some random design.

Then cut up some scraps of steel and hot glue them together.

Drill holes in them and bolt to said beast.

But there maybe a better way.

So I will wait with baited breath till the closer cousins chime in.

1. Looking to put a sidecar on a 2013 f6b a used champion escort 11.  I need info on mounting and any good advise would be appreciated.

WELCOME to the greatest show on Earth, and the 2nd and 4th planets.

Having owned the most infamous 2013 Honda F6B, I know those bikes well, and it will make a great tug for attaching a Champion Escort ll to it.

As my Australian friend said, tell us where you are, so we can better direct you to the proper subframe builder, to get that Sidecar attached to the bike.

@miles-ladue I’m in Connecticut. I heard of a gentleman up hear in Kent but he’s retiring this month.

I have an early Escort that was getting in the process of getting redone. How big a project do you want to get into.

@miles-ladue sorry to confuse you, but I am looking for a side car. I was looking at one in Massachusetts the champion escort two and I don’t think the guy is too receptive. I don’t know what’s going on, but anyway, yeah I am. I don’t have a side car yet, but I am looking to put a sidecar on my motorcycle so if you have any ideas or anything you have in mind I would appreciate it thank you

David @dave-mc....we have questions....in an effort to better guide you, and give you our best opinions.

Example: Have you ever driven a Sidecar rig before ?

Have you ever owned a Sidecar rig in the past ??

What are your plans for using a Sidecar rig ???

What is your motorcycle riding experience/ history ????

These things are important, so we know how to better serve you.

Many of us believe that a first time Sidecar pilot should look for a complete Sidecar rig that is already Road Ready, one that is well enough built and aligned that you won't kill yourself on the first ride.

Doesn't need to be an expensive one.... but also not a dirt cheap piece of junk.

There is a learning curve for most (not all) first time Sidecar operators, as it's quite different than riding a 2 wheeled motorcycle.

If you jump past all the questions I posted above, then my suggestion will be to contact Hannigan Sidecars in Murray, Kentucky, look at their website, go to them, have a Sidecar built by them, they will do all the work to install it to your 2013 Honda F6B, and..... you're done.

But please.... consider my questions above.

It's long thread and as Miles pointed out many mistakes made in learning about sidecars.

But our past is what is.

Got a few online friends out of the journey which is a bonus.

Mostly on foreign shores.

@miles-ladue no have not road a sidecar before have been riding all my life since 11 and now I’m 63   Would be a different ride for sure

David @dave-mc, so.... you're young, and only been riding for 52 years.

That's okay...we help younger folks like you too.

I will suggest that you look around (we can help with the search) to find a complete Sidecar rig that is Road Ready. This is so you can test the waters, spend less money on a used, complete Sidecar rig, to see IF you like piloting a Sidecar rig, or ...hate it.

If you really like piloting a Sidecar rig, you can either decide to keep the used one you bought, or ....have a company like Hannigan Sidecars build you a new Sidecar to attach to your Honda F6B.....then sell the used rig you bought.... and probably sell it for the same amount you paid for it when you bought it.

We have 9 more questions, so tell us ...are you interested in finding a well conditioned used Sidecar rig to test the waters.....or ....do you want to jump the broom and have Hannigan Sidecars build you a new Sidecar rig ???

Went up to Keene New Hampshire and talked with a bike shop who is a hannigan dealer and came up with a price for one of there models with a couple add one and it was about $16000.00 a little more than I want to spend on a maybe 😁😁😁. So yes a nice complete use sidecar for the right price would be awesome. If anything up in the Connecticut area comes up that would be great

Therefore, let the searching begin.

Now, do you prefer an all street/road kind of sidecar rig, or an all dirt sidecar rig, or a combination of both...50 % street, and 50 % dirt ?

My suggestion, for testing the waters, would be an all street version, before you attempt putting on your Indiana Jones hat, and jumping from one hilltop to the next hilltop.

Once you tell us what kind of sidecar rig you are looking for...street vs dirt....is there a particular brand/model of BIKE that you are prone to like more than others ?

Stereotypically...the Honda vs BMW vs H-D kind of choice.

Example....there is an almost PERFECT 1995 Honda Goldwing 1500 SE w/Champion Escort ll sidecar for sale.....it is in mid-Kansas...but the price is too hard to pass up a deal like this. I believe the Seller is currently asking $ 7,500.00 for it, and that price is down from what it started at.

NOTE:  "IF" the Seller's current price is not down to $ 7,500.00... "I" will make it so, and I will personally make up the difference, so that YOU...David @dave-mc only have to pay $ 7,500.00 for this well built, 100% road ready rig. There are several of us here on these forums that know this sidecar rig personally, and can attest to how good it is.

Okay, your first reaction is.... mid-Kansas....hell no....I want something in Connecticut, or maybe as far away as any of the New England states.

But, as all of us that actually KNOW this 1995 Honda Goldwing 1500 SE w/Champion Escort ll will tell you, this rig is 100% Road Ready, it is proven, it has been tested, it has been greatly improved, brand new OEM alternator, a hugely improved windshield, new triple trees that have reduced the trail on the front end so it steers and handles better with a sidecar, etc, etc, etc.

AND....if you are still thinking of adding a sidecar to your 2013 Honda F6B in the future, then learning to pilot a sidecar by doing so on this 1995 Honda Goldwing w/Champion Escort ll sidecar, will be the best comparison to what you future Honda F6B sidecar rig will feel like, almost like comparing apples to apples.

Now, getting this 1995 Honda Goldwing SE w/Champion Escort ll sidecar rig from mid-Kansas to Connecticut is really the only issue, and...it can be done.

Some of us will offer to do a Fly 'n Ride for you....pick it up in Buffalo, Kansas, and deliver it to some dark alley in Connecticut...but there will also be a nominal fee in doing that.

There is also Haulbikes.....they can pick that sidecar rig up, and deliver it right to your door, and the charge will likely be around $ 1,000.00, all-in.

Or, you could fly to Wichita, Kansas, where the Seller will pick you up at the airport, and drive you to his house in Buffalo, Kansas, and he will go over this rig from head to toe, top to bottom, give you some driving instructions, let you loose in his yard, whilst his friendly dog CY chases you around the yard, then when you are ready (gulp), you head Northeast, until you find that dark alley in Connecticut, and announce...I am home !

OR...would you prefer a Yamaha TW200 with a enduro style sidecar ?

That price from the dealer in Keene, NH, on ordering a Hannigan sidecar for you, and installing it to your F6B....that $ 16,000.00 is NOT out of line.

If that price includes everything it should include, then the price is basically correct.

An all-in price SHOULD include installing new trail reducing triple trees on the front of your F6B, so that it steers right.  That price should also include FULL and COMPLETE installation of the Hannigan sidecar to your bike, including PROPER wiring of the bike/sidecar connection.

Believe me when I say...90+ % of shops that install sidecars to motorcycle, do a very bad job of the wiring of the bike and sidecar connection. It takes an experienced person that CARES to do the job right, and not butcher the OEM wiring harness on your F6B, with proper connectors, proper routing of the wires, proper sheathing of all wires, proper heat shrink coverage.....snd again (not a joke) more than 90 % of shops do it wrong. 

They may get all the lights on the bike and sidecar to function at the moment you pick up the sidecar rig from them, but don't you dare look under the seat of the bike, at the rats nest they left under there from all their wiring crap....as it will greatly upset you.

Lastly, exactly...precisely....which Hannigan Sidecar was it your were getting a quite on ?????????
