@mototwin, what a BEAUTIFUL rig.

I understand your wife's request for the sidecar with a door.Ā

My primary sidecar rig has a Hannigan Dream sidecar,Ā  with a door, and an electric chair lift in the sidecar,Ā  so a disabled wife can easily step through the open door,Ā  and comfortably sit on the raised seat, then hit the toggle switch to lower the seat to the preferred height.

I hope you findĀ a buyer soon.

BTW, at one time e Champion also made a sidecar with a door. I believe it was theirĀ  Avenger model.

But Hannigan Motorsports makes 4 different sidecars with doors.

Somewhere on this site Miles has a thread about installing the lift seat into the Dream sidecar.Ā  It's later in the day than my brain can offer, but its either in Technical Discussion thread or in General Discussion thread.Ā  Pretty detailed work.

#mototwin, I installed two of these Electric Chair Lifts, and both of them are from Hannigan Sidecar company. The first one I ordered directly from Hannigan, and it cost me around $ 1,500 all in, including delivery, because this is a very heavy unit.

That price does not include installation, because I do that myself.

The second Electric Chair Lift I was fortunate to buy from a fellow Sidecarist here on these forums, as she had an extra one, from their many sidecars, and she too has an Electric Chair Lift inside at least one of her 4 sidecar rigs. I was able to pick this up at the National Sidecar Rally in Topsham, Maine this past June, and haul it back to Washington State with me, then install it into my other Sidecar rig.

This one I bought from the fellow Sidecarist, was at a great discount (thank you MJ) and saved me a grand.

I believe the one I showed pictures of is in a thread titled Shipping a Sidecar to Europe, as I was preparing that 2015 Goldwing w/Hannigan GTL Sidecar rig for shipment to Germany.

The second one I installed in our 2019 Goldwing w/DCT trans....and Hannigan Dream Sidecar.

Caution: if you order one from Hannigan, or find a used one in good condition, these are modifications needed to fit the Sidecar seat to the Electric Chair Lift, so it takes cutting, grinding, drilling.... but no welding.

I had to do this to both of the Electric Chair Lifts I got, to make it so that the Sidecar seat can be bolted down to the Electric Chair Lift, and so that the Electric Chair Lift can be bolted down through the sidecar floor.

The wiring for this is easy, very simple .

I have lots of pictures of all this on my home computer, but.....alas.....I am in Spain right now, so....

Here is the link for the thread about adding a LIFT to the sidecar seat:

https://sidecar.com/forum/general-discussion-general-discussion/lift-chair-for-inside-the-sidecar/#post-87774

Pages # 2 & 3 give you the direct info,Ā  but....with this entire thread being only 4 pages, IĀ  suggest reading every post,Ā  as good info there.

@miles-ladue I like your quote in your old post.

"To be frank and forthright, some of these sidecars are a M%&%^$F%&^&%$ to get seated into, or to get up and out of the seat.

I can not understand how a modern day sidecar manufacturer can build a sidecar/seat so that only a 13 year old gymnast has the physical abilities to sit down into, and extricate themselves from the sidecar seat."
