Love your sidecar! Too bad I am not currently in the market! I have a DMC Expedition on a S10 Tenere and after some serious dirt riding I am thinking of diamond plate like you did + underneath the body. Maybe even putting it around the frame tubes as they catch a lot of stones. My main question is your sidecar fender: is it a DMC or something custom made? I like the fact that the radius looks the same than the wheel and the integrated light(s); a lot better than the one I have supposed to fit any wheel diameter with an attached truck red light.

I did the best I could to try to get images useful to those knowledgable of DMC models. I see, now, that my low-angle pic from the front could have been lower. There are fore, aft and mid cross-members, which could have been better framed. In any case, it is a DMC... something! Best, John

That's clearly a M72DX.  The M72DX is what I drive.  I also used to have a M72D which pre-dated the DX, but yours is definitely not a D.  You said yours was originally bought in 2011 which was the year it was introduced as the M72X, but by 2012 it was being called a M72DX and that name stuck until being supplanted by the Expedition.

One mod I see that was NOT available from DMC is that wood dashboard under the windscreen.  Looks very nice!

Prmurat, that fender looks like 2011 DMC off-the-rack.

John Graber, it is  my  opinion that you are  neglecting  pointing out  one of the  very  important,  and useful  items on this  sidecar rig...and that is the  RDL saddle...the Russell  Day Long seat, with  its internal  suspension  system  built inside the  seat.

Maybe I  am so (whatever) about  these RDL seats, because I have  had 17 of them  made for me,  às Ride In appointments  at Russell.

Greetings, Miles. Thank you for the more complete information. "Drone," as well, knew the "Russell Day Long." I knew it was remarkably comfortable, but couldn't remember the brand. Best, John

And, thank you, Drone, for the DMC model update. That answers questions in a way I am not able to. Best, John

Sorry to hear about the health issues. It looks like a very nice rig. I just emailed you so we can discuss it.

Quick update, Saturday. 8 June 2024: Thank you to all who've participated. I've had multiple sight-unseen, full-price offers. I am working with a USCA member -- the first who contacted me -- and am awaiting a 1/2-down deposit, in anticipation of a "fly-and-ride." (This was, in fact, how I bought the bike only months ago.) As soon as I receive the deposit, I will update the title to "Sale Pending." I am pleased that all was through this forum. Best to all, John

@miles-ladue Back to your comment a couple of days ago referencing Mr. T (my CB handle back in the day), this Mr. T is exactly the guy who is privileged to be the pending new owner of this prime piece of equipment!

That's great news, Tom.  I certainly loved my 1150DMC rig.  The 1150 has a lot going for it as a tug.  Mine even had the same "popemoblie" windscreen!

If you haven't already joined the USCA (not just the forum but the Club) now would be a good time!  Make sure to start a thread if you have any questions about the new rig or if you simply want to post some pics and brag about it.

Oh, Tom @tomjgerken, I already knew that.  I have back channel  access to  all the  insider news, so I  knew it was you, about 3 hours ago.

Congrats,  Tom, from coastal  Maine, on purchasing  an excellent  sidecar rig. clap

@ned thanks, we're very excited!  I had an R1150RT years ago before the barcolounger K1200LT.  So happens I am a USCA member.  Though somewhat new to the sidecar world I find myself involved as the current USCA Northeast Regional director.  Need to get moving on a 2025 rally location post haste!!

Missed you tonight (Tom, Ned, Miles).  Great time and lots of laughter.  I got to play Janice from The Price Is Right!  You missed a good one.

Either that you you won't need the eye bleach that everyone else will be needing.

Congratulations, Tom!

Tom, if you are looking for suggestions for the 2025 USCA National Sidecar Rally location, as I too am a Mainiac (Limestone), yet I know that the great state of Maine is a bit far for the shorter distance travelers, may I suggest...Bennington, Vermont....Troy, NY, or the Finger Lakes Region of NY.

My mission, if I should accept it (and I plan to) is to be THEE Longest Distance Sidecar Rig that shows up....Tenino, Washington....an olde sandstone quarry town.
