I am in need of a mounting kit for a California Friendship II to attach on a 95 GW 1500.  Anyone out here have a mount kit they are not using?

Do you know how may parts are in this kit? My FS3 was mounted on a 1500, the seller told me he could not mount it on his 1800... I have it now and need to either prove that my seller was wrong or give it away!! Maybe take some time as I need first to find the correct subframe for my 1800.

Not sure of how many parts are in your kit.

From what I have gathered, the 1800  is very different on frame mounting points. If that is the case do you know what you have?

You can easily mount a FSIII on an 1800, however you have to install a subframe as the frame on the 1800 is aluminum. You can get the subframe from Texas sidecars and it should run around 1K or so. They should also have the double bango to hook up the brakes from the car to the bike. I have a thread here covering when I installed mine.

On the 1500 as far as a Kit, it is completely different from the way the 1800 hooks up. Having said that if you have the hardware to connect it to a 1500 you have what you need to hook it to a 1800. you would have a couple parts you don't need as well. I've had sidecars on both. No subframe needed for the 1500. I have the frame clamp for the front top mount for the 1500, the clamp that goes at the radiator, the lower front mount requires you to drill out the lower engine mount and tap it larger. I will look and see if I still have the directions I had for mounting a sidecar on the 1500. you also have to drill through the webbing under the seat where the frame tubes meet for the rear top yoke to bolt to. you will need a steel shim that is wedge shaped so everything will sit at the correct angles.

These are the mounting parts I have. I guess I'll have to keep the one attached on the sidecar, the other bunch are the GW1500 specifics.

YES that last picture appears to be all parts for a 1500, the one with the curved tube looks like it would be for the rear top mount. on mine you had to drill the webbing under the seat to mount the yoke, and the one with the u bolt looks like it would mount up front for the lower mount

I would be interested in the 1500 parts you have there if you are not going to be needing them.
