WHEEL & AXEL
I WOULD LIKE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS ON A WHEEL & AXEL FOR AN UNDER CARRAGE THAT I AM GOING TO BUILD,THE TUB WILL NOT BE VERY HEAVY,I WILL TRY TO KEEP THE WEIGHT AT LEAST 1/3 OF THE CYCLE (385 LBS DRY)I THINK THIS THE CORRECT THING TO DO.
THERE IS A CYCLE SALVAGE YARD NEARBY, SO I CAN FIND ABOUT ANYTHING I NEED THERE. HONDA, YAMAHA, SUZUKI, ( NO HARLEYS OR BMW I WISH) .
ALSO WHERE ARE SOME GOOD SOURCES I CAN PURCHASE THE CLAMPS FOR THE UNDERCARRAGE,I DONT KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT NAME FOR THEM ARE SO I CALL THEM CLAMPS. TKS TRIESTE ANY ONE KNOWE WHERE TRIESTE IS LOCATED.
I've heard of people using a K car rear axel, brake and wheel on a hack.
By Trieste, do you mean the city in Italy on the Adriatic, or August Piccard's bathescaphe that was the first submersible to reach the botttom of the Mariannes Trench?, it is at the undersea warfare museum in Keyport WA.

For utility use, the trailer supply houses have some chassis parts that are quite usable and economically priced. Stub axles, hubs, wheels, etc.
I have used the Dodge K car rear axle spindle assemblies for sidecar wheels as well as for trailers and they work well. They are a bolt on unit. Other front wheel drive rear axle spindles may also work well. This type of thing may be able to be found for practically nothing.
For the trailer axle stuff mentioned you can check places like TRACTOR SUPPLY. These units are fairly inexpensive and are redily availble. Can also be ordered over the internet.
Unless one is stuck on having a typical motorcycle tire and wheel assembly on the sidecar these type of units will provide a great setup at little cost and work very well.
thanks guys, i intend to stay with the cycle rear wheel & axel.
yes trieste is a city on the adriatic, the bathescaphe was built there and named after the city.
