We just recently bought this sidecar and would like to identify it. Any ideas out there? Thanks! (Just new to this message board so will now try to attach a picture.)

The body looks like one of the short Equaleans. I don't recognise the chassis. Equaleans had a unique leaning arrangement that allowed the sidecar to lean with the bike. Company died out around '84 and parts / mounting were no longer available so many of the bodies ended up converted to rigids. Dave Szkudlarek from down Dayton Ohio way had one of the short bodied E'leans. Hey Dave, whatcha think?

Body is a Short Equalean. Wheel is metric. Looks like it was rigid mounted.

It is definetely not a German of the shelf sidecar!
Selfmade?
I have never seen a fancy (for not to say ugly) design like that.

Yep it's a short equalean / ridgid conversion... very rare... could be worth $50 to $100 dollars if it was cleaned up.LOL But it does say BMW and has BMW tail lights. cute sidecar mine was black and leaned.
