Brings back memorys, built one almost just like that and pulled it all around the US and Mexico,,,,,,but mine had fenders 🙂

Me too! I made one back in 1985 from a trailer frame kit and car carrier and hauled it all over. I sold it and it wound up in Alaska, last I heard.

Hey Hacksaw, Could you post a picture of how you have your trailer hitch mounted on your rig? For anyone interested trailers like this with fenders can be bought from Harbor Freight for around $240.00 if you don't mind putting it together yourself.

Will do.
My trailer connection uses a hitch that was sold by Harper's in KC, MO
I bought it secondhand and don't know if they still offer them.
Chet Rugg over at the Wildguzzi forum makes some really nice units for Guzzi's but not sure of what else he makes them for.

I purchased my trailer as a kit from the local Harbor Freight store and paid $189.00 I also bought the LED light kit for an additional $29.99

I narrowed it so that the widest point is the same width as my handlebars and intentionally left the fenders off.

My plans are to create a camping trailer on the frame that is 36" wide and 48" long.
The top 'layer' will open to the left and be supported by legs.
The next 'layer' will open to the right and be supported by legs.
Then a 'shelf' will be placed across the opening left in between these two 'layers' and will afford me a 4' by 9' base for a cabin-style tent to sit on top of.
There will also be a tented area ~48" wide by ~72" long off the rear of the unit for dressing/storing.
I have access to a professional seamstress through work and he said get him sizes and shapes and he will determine how much fabric I need and sew it accordingly.
Pole system will be 1/2" and 3/4" EMT conduit unless I can find some true tent poles in the sizes I need.
