adapting light sidecar to heavy cycle
a 1980 thompson cyclecar to a 1974 900z1 had to beef up frame and put a wide late model yamaha high speed scooter tire took a month fo trial and error of making brackets to hook it all toghether
Nice looking rig. The Thompson Cyclecar was my first sidecar which I attached to a 71 BMW R75/5. The Cyclecar came from the factory with a 75 lb. concrete weight attached to the frame under the sidecar body. After a couple years I tried to ride without it and couldn't keep the chair on the ground without a passenger. It was a great little sidecar to learn on.
Good looking Rig.
A 70# sand traction tube in the back of the boat will keep it on 3 legs.

I broke out the cement out of the frame may have been mistake-under the car there was 2 sheets of scrap lead in it also. and welded the frame that held the cement to the frame to make the frame stiffer along with a some more iron and have a 40 pound sandbag behind seat and 20 lbs of 2 large scuba weights bolted to the far outside frame behind headlight and stays down better now but do a racing sidecar lean left or right just for safty and seems to go around fast sweeping corners without hard steering-might look odd but I dont care. also have 5 point hook up having one from the center stand bracket and some odd other brackets also-also put on a different fender
here are my brackets I made the one on the back is about 5/8 threaded rod the back bottom bracket plate is from muffler hanger to the passenger footpeg bolt the center bottom is to center stand --might use the body and try to make a new heavy frame with a car tire to match my bike a frame that is nnot square also
