Does anyone have any experience with a Velorex 562 mounted on a Burgman 650? I have the sidecar and intended to have it mounted on a Honda 750 Shadow Aero, but I like the looks and ease of operation of the Burgman 650.

I would appreciate any input.

We have no expericance at this time but do have two on the way to our shop for Kenna sidecars so we will be developing a mounting kit. We will also look into steering modifcations such as the ones we do for the Silverwing scooter.

We've mounted several 562C's on the Silverwing's and mounted 562's on Helix and Reflex scooters. The Burgman is about the same framewise as the Silverwings. All of the scooter owners were very happy with the 562's.
No complaints about odd steering effects and no steering dampers have been needed.

Thanks for the input.

Is it likely that a Honda 750 would be a better vehicle for the Velorex?

The 750 Honda is also a good candidate for a Velorex tug.
A lot of people who are not motorcyclists find the automatic scooters to be better suited for them. There is much less of a learning curve since all the controls are hand controls. This is also easier for those with leg or balance problems as far as getting on the rig or dismounting is concerned.

Jr Lewis' wife Avenell has a small sidecar (California Commuter?) on a 650 Burgman. You have to work to keep up with her. 🙂 Nice rig!! The rigging was done by Bob Darden of Texas Sidecar whop has assembled quite a few sidecar rigs. They make a specific scooter sidecar. Google "Texas Sidecar and Trike". The velorex should work well though.

Thanks, I have limited use of my left hand so I am leaning toward the scooter. I appreciate your input.

Update!

I bought a Burgman 650 today. The Velorex 563 will be here by Friday. I appreciate the help.
