I have a 1974 R90/6 and I want to be able to use the front and rear turn signals also as running lights. Is there a replacement bulb out there that can handle both these function? If not, I am, open to alternative suggestions.

TIA,
Dr. Raoul Duke

Mr. Dr.,
In order to use your turn signal lights as running lights you will have to replace the wiring to use a double contact socket in the lamp fixture. If the turn signals are just single function lamps they only use a single contact lamp and socket. This would be replaced with a dual contact lamp (Stop/taillight lamp).
Wire the lower candlepower side to the taillight circuit and the high candlepower filament to your turn signals. You might want to toss in a heavy duty turn signal relay at the same time.

I have a 1976 Gold Wing and the front turn signal lights are dual filiment and use 1157 bulbs. The rear are single filiment but the dual pig tail can be made to fit.
