Ural sidecar swingarm bushing deflection problem
When rolling the rig around the shop at work yesterday I heard some creaking noises and decided to investigate them. I found that when rolling the rig back and forth with in an arc the sidecar swingarm bushings deflect a lot, with a load in the sidcar that gets the swingarm off the bump stop the end of the swingarm will pivot about 3/4-1" inboard of where it should be. Has anyone else had this problem? When I put the swingarm on I noticed that the bushings don't protrude out of the swingarm any and therefore don't get sandwiched between the mounting ears at all. Maybe I have the wrong bushings? They are brand new, but they don't seem to fill up the space very well. Any help would really be appreciated.
The Velorex has ball bearings that lasts much better then bushings.
Just a thought

That'd be nice, to bad the Ruskies didn't do that. I'm going to take some pictures of it tomorrow, I think. It may be normal, I don't know. It always defaults back to straight, it just tweaks in corners.

The 2008 Ural now has bearings in the swing arms.
