On the inside left of my Ural sidecar near the Windshield is an ID plate with the number 1987 stamped into it. Is this the year of manufacture or a Serial Number?

Year of MFG, Ural doesn't use Serial #s on their sidecars.

Thanks guys! And thanks Fender for the translation. I've already been asked what it said. Now I can answer honestly. :0)

I always had the impression that that was the number of people it took to build it. Sort of like the Chinese Vento (sp?) bike that has 1400 in the name, but that's actually how many cc of oil it holds. (No kidding!)
