I'M TRYING TO MATCH MY BIKE WHEEL TO MY SIDECAR WHEEL.HAS ANY ONE INSTALLED A TWINCAM 2002 9 SPOKE FRONT WHEEL ON A PRE 2000 EVO. IT SEEMS THE ROTORS WOULD FIT AND YOU CAN USE 3/4" SEALED WHEEL BEARINGS, SO THE 3/4" AXLE WOULD WORK. THE ONLY ISSUES I CAN SEE ARE THE SPEEDO AND MABY THE AXLE SPACERS. ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE GREAT.

In 2000 H-D Touring models went to a one inch front axle....so if the front wheel is off of a FLT it won't fit.

As far as spacers: I can check the bikes at school and see if there are any differences in hub size or offset.

THANK'S, I KNOW ABOUT THE AXLE SIZE BUT HARLEY USED 3/4'" SEALED BEARINGS ON THE REAR OF THE FLT'S AND THEY HAVE THE SAME WIDTH AND DEPTH SIZE AS THE FRONT RIM 52MM OD X 21MM WIDTH, JUST A SMALLER AXEL SIZE 3/4". WHAT I REALY NEED TO KNOW ARE THE SPACER LENGTH'S AND IF THERE IS A WAY TO MAKE THE SPEEDO DRIVE UNIT WORK . THANKS'S, JOE

I'll check tomorrow.....H-D made lots of wheel and brake changes in '02. Your existing calipers would have to work with the new rotors or new calipers would have to fit your front forks.....and the new calipers are four piston, floating type. The spacers would have to be the same or your rear wheel to front wheel alignment will be off.
