I ride a Yamaha RS Venture, with a Champion Sidecar. Had Dauntless Motors fabricate and install a new triple tree to improve steering/handling. My question: It appears the joint where the new TT connects to the fork tube is mis-manufactured. Dauntless says no. I'm concerned about safety and Dauntless poo poo's my concern. Any suggestions on a shop that can look at the triple tree and tell me whether it is OK or mis-manufactured? Please advise. Thanks. Jake

Lonnie. I've taken two. Didn't work, will take two more. I'll try to figure out how to add pics to a post. Thanks. JSG

They made up a custom TripleTree for my Kaw 2000cc Vulcan two years ago....it does have a slot in it which is different from stock, but in over 6000 miles it has worked perfectly. The slot, it appears, simply allows the change in rake by allowing the fork tubes the freedom to angle in the TT.

If you problem isn't resolved you can go to Liberty on Rainier Ave and have them take a look see.
