Has anyone had any experience with use of a flat profile tire[like car]on the bike I see the S/C already has that kind of tire!I see them in use on Trikes but new to modern S/Cs.We used car tires on the old HD and Indians with S/Cs in the past!I just puchased a GL1500 with Daytona 2+2 car on it needs a new rear tire thought might go to that kind of tire oif avaiable for bikes.Seems no need for the round profile of a standard M/C tire in S/C use!Any experience with this???Thanks BOB

hi bob , if you want to put a car tire on the rear of the 1500 you will need a special wheel(rim),the 1800 does not need one. i only know of 3 guys that make them. i have a hannigan 2+2 on a 1500 and i have a wheel made by harry tarzian in central pa. and it comes with a 165R15 tire(early vw & other imports)and i LOVE IT! ain't much on this typing crap so if you want more info e-mail me and we will talk on phone. harry's ph.# 814=349=2414 mike

Go to search, top left, and enter "car tires" at the bottom click subject and body, change the days from 30 to 180 or more and submit.
Doing a search with "car tire" in both categories brings up over 250 matches and a suggestion to narrow your search. Maybe try with the subject line only. But you shouldn't have too difficult a time finding lots of interesting reading on the subject. Good luck!
I have 2 Suzuki 1500 Intruders....one solo and one with a sidecar mounted to it..... I have a car tire on the rear of both.....Great on the solo bike and great on the one with the sidecar....my Motorvation Roadster also has a car tire on it....the bikes have 195/80/15 rear tires and the sidecar has a 155/80/13.... I have been looking for a car tire that will fit on the front of the bike with the sidecar on it but cant find one that will fit as of yet....I'm still looking though...LOL... Steve
