With the hack your rear tire will wear out in about half the mileage of your current solo tire, your 21" front will be next and the sidecar with the Dunlop tire will last the longest.
I have only had one Velorex in the shop that had a Harley sized 130x16 tire mounted. It was a late 562Cruiser model that has a wider rim than your early 562E model. However, it worked well on the 562C.

I was thinking about using a front MT90/16 for the side car

I have had great success with the Kenda tires on the front of our rig! Do they make a square porfile sidecar tire in 16"

Has anyone tried the Shinko Classic 240, a MT90-16 tube tire with a flatter profile. The limited info from: http://www.shinkotireusa.com/product/product.php?id=16 :

A classic design with modern construction and performance. Available in blackwall, single stripe whitewall, or double stripe whitewall versions.

  • 4 ply nylon carcass
  • Compounded for high mileage
  • H rated (130 mph) tube type
  • Aramid belt offsets tread distortion for better grip and durability

im running the coker 500r16 - so far its really nice - ive had it on all summer - i drive like a grandpa and the tire looks completely new after a summer of use - but not a whole lot of miles - maybe 3000.

however - my alignment is really close to zero toe in and i dont hot rod at all, i do run 75 on cruise control on the freeways.

Hey Timo......What bike do you have?? I like the coker tire but couldn't find enuf info so I got a M/C tire......Did you have to put a tube in yours?? Do you have a coker on bike and hack?? The coker should work on all three locations on a rig, correct?????? I,m looking for better mileage out of a tire instead of the 5000 or 6000 for M/C tires.......We don't lean on corners anymore.....................

I think I am gonna try the Shinko tire for the hack and see what happens. For that price in cant hurt to try. I may stay with the Dunlops on the bike I know I wont get 14000 miles out of them like I do riding solo , but lets see what happens.

Dunlops so if I decide to pull the hack and ride solo I will have a decent tire.

FYI this tire WILL NOT fit a Velorex , it is too tall of a side wall. Lucky for me it fits the back of my Sporty

I've been running Dunlop E3's now, used to use E2. get 10-12000 miles on the front and rear tire. I have GL1100 Goldwings but you should get close to the same. Doug

Well, I've ordered an Elite 3 for the pusher on my Sportster rig. Let's continue to compare results. I'm still interested in the coker 500r16, especially if it can be mounted tubeless.
