tire issues
My Bonneville/ velorex rig runs Metzler me 880 tires. You can practically watch the tires wear down. What tires do you all run with success? I think the Metzlers rubber is too soft ..... any tire brands out there with harder rubber?
In very general broad terms, lower priced sidecars tend to be harder rubber and as such last longer and even if they do not last longer, at least the tires where less expensive.
Alignment also plays a role, not only are toe and lean out important but also wheel lead. The more wheel lead, the more tire wear. I find often with Velorex rigs as Velorex has no proper way to adjust wheel lead other then placement of their front lower universal type clamp they often tend to have to much wheel lead.

I've been told that the Michelin Commanders do better on mileage, but like Jay said, lean and toe-in has a dramatic effect on tire wear.
How many miles you get from your tires?
3, 000 miles, the wear is even
3000 on rear tire is what i get on my bathtub rig (gs850/velorex) with motorcycle tire on rear. i can probably get more miles if i stop having fun.
