This project sure keeps you thinking, doesn't it? You sure have a lot more patience than I do! You will get there, I am sure.

Bruce,
I guess that is the best medicine they tell you for to treat the illness with the name of a German scientist of whom I forgot the name again...
And in behalf on patience, I am a passioned angler and for years I had to scrape bedways for a living, I guess that helps a bit. For now I take a kind of vacation from work and pull things out of my head and make them real just for personal pleasure. The clients have been nasty enough for 23 years, now my family and some few egoistic private plans come first. When I'll come back from the North then clients will get more important again.

Meanwhile: "Don't worry, bee happy!" in memory of two special friends from studies of my wife, one survived cancer and the other passed by today at noon over to the other side of hades river. The funeral will be tomorrow morning at 8am. A chear on both Juanca and Guisele.
Don't worry be happy. You teach/taught its sence well.
Sven

This is not related to the Rotkâppchen transplantation, BUT WE GOT SOMEBODY NEW INTO THE FAMILY. Today I made my down payment to Jim Petiti Racewayservices in Salem Oregon for a blue Ural Patrol. Her name is Babutschka Ramona for the bike and Babutschka Katerina Valeria for the sidecar....In a couple of weeks Thomas and I will head North. The Costarrican indian Grandmother of my wife and my German, polish,Russian Grandma. For sure Doña Ramona was the harder worker and example for the whole family , so she deserves the first names right. Rotkâppchen should not become jealous on the Babutschkas Ramona and Katerina because the Ural will be more for soft Sunday tour riding then the Husquarna engine.

By the way, one of my best buddies lived in Salem, Kreis Herzogtum Lauenburg close to the Eastgerman border. And right there I chopped off together with Dietmar in the sidecar a road side plock on my second day with my first rig on 14.12.1986 in the snow.

We'll see perhaps some of You soon.

As Thomas uses to say: We are makeing Ugly Time!
Client's wishes do not permit me to continue the Rotkäppchen project
3 days to Thomas's 18th birthday
Creditcard somewhere in the mail between Germany and Costa Rica
Wire transfer for the motorcycle somewhere in the "Invu" of bank's bureaucracy
No flight possible to book until above things happen
Thomas's teachers asking when he will take his vacations for which dates....Anyhow he will loose his meteorologic course and delay studies because of the journey
And not yet made the big family reunion for to tell officially that this week I spend a years shop earnings on a materialistic personal toy....

The hands tingle and I cannot determine, if it comes from the several coffee mugs or the expectance to soon ride in a many year long dream...
That is life of its best and anyhow: Ugly Time...
🙂 🙂 🙂

The air inside the house is so thick that you have to cut it with a knife for to breathe...
Good news 10 minutes ago. The transfer arrived at the dealer and the bike will be shiped to him tomorrow.

Tranfer arrived and today is Thomas 18th birthday... soon the journey heading North can start.
Meanwhile Rotkäppchen is waiting in the shop.
Yesterday we finished Henry's ultrafiltration plant and suddenly after adjusting the application program of the Mini PLC it asked for a unknown password.
:O Such is life... 😉

Still doing ugly time, no creditcard and waiting for the call that the box arrived in Salem for to be able to buy the flight tickets.
A kind of strange fathers day, I never have been expecting anything and am nervous as a kid waiting for Christmas evening.
The presents were great and strange at the same time.

Who has known of a cat needing a GPS? Only my family can occure this. Probably after I did loose my orientation during the Easter night in Braunschweig down town looking for the "Magna" quarter which was right 3 streets further ahead. Haven't been there since 1990.
During the dinner I enjoyed every single tapa and Sangria mug at a Spanish restaurant, run by a former Jesuit monk, who is married to a Lady from my birth town Berlin.
12 years ago a collegue from Columbia/Argentina/Hamburg started to wheep in the same place, saying:"This food is right as it used to make my former mother in law back in Valencia."
Well, in Valencia, Spain started on Easter 1988 my commitment to mankind and environmental development in its actual form.
Who ever has the oportunity should go down to Santa Ana port south of Valencia, Spain and try the food at all the small stands.
Riding there through the back land is fabulous too.
Try and You'll love it.
Sven

Jim Petiti told me in the morning that the box with my Patrol would come into the shop today or tomorrow....The big moment comes nearer and nearer.
But as allways what the one guy his pride is the others his horror. "Wat de een sin Uhl', is dem annern sin Jull'"
Today Henry with whom I was building his water recicling plant got today in hospital with heart problems. He simply hurried too much these days with the visits from the German engineers, who left early this morning. Today he paid at lunch a way too high bill...he vanished. I feel bad about him and blame myself because Friday night I guided him through programing for several hours in stead of cutting off the phone and tell him to stop until Monday..., I can tell You that I blame myself! All I can do now, is pray that he gets back on his feet. One heart attack 5 years ago was allready the red card.
-----

My family said "Njiet!!!" to my name idea for the rig: They don't like the names of Babushka Ramona and Babushka Katerina Valeria. They say its an insult to dear dead people to call a machine with their names.
So all I can think of right now is Jolly Roger 3 for the Ural Patrol.
The Rotkäppchen Jaquarna rig any how will get the name Jolly roger 2 1/2 as the Jawa frame stays intact.
Votes or proposals are wellcome.
Sven
