Mark and I have been trying to install a new Motorvation Spyder on a Valk standard. We have been trying to follow instructions and have the sub frame installed and the lower mounts on the car to the sub frame. There are no pics of a Valk install, just a GW and a HD. The are four hand sketches specific to the Spyder/Valk. After spending all day we are not real happy with what we have but being novices we're not sure.
Is there any one out there familiar with sidecar installs who might be reasonably close to the New Haven/Ft. Wayne Indiana area that could help?
We're completely at a loss on even what questions to ask. We've stopped work on it.

Call Motorvation for tech advice. They can probably walk you through it if you are mechanically adept. Two mount points installed and two to go.

I'm not close, but I have a Valkyrie with a Ural sidecar. What can I do to help? Would photos help??? http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/SidecarMike/Sidecar/ I can take more.
What problems are you having?

Mike. We started out leveling the sidecar at the right height. We had the Valk on a mc jack just enough to stabilize the bike. When trying to join the two, nothing matched up. Various combo's ended up with the sidecar 'way off level and the Valk leaning toward the sidecar, impossible ! We quit and are going to start out again by unhooking everything and redoing. What I think makes it harder is two rookies who never looked at a sidecar mount, trying to do this with HD pics and simple drawings, no Valk pics. I know the theory, just don't have enough experience. I sure could use some pics of any Valk install but am hesitant of putting my email on this post.
I have sent an email to Motorvation ahowing pics of what this looks like now.

Click on the link in my last post to see shots of my mounts near the bottom of the page. If they don't help I can post more. Just let me know what you need. If you wish, write me at sidecarmike at charter.net

Thanks Mike. Those pictures helped answer a couple of my questions. Might be just enough to get us going in the right direction.
