I have a Velorex mounted on a 2001 Suzuki Volusia. The only gripe I have is that the Velorex wheel is one size taller than those on my bike. Are there any wheels out there that are a direct fit, which will allow me to give the rig a more symetric look while mounting a larger tire?
Thanks,
Jack

Hi Lonnie,

Thanks! What modifications are required to do that? I have wire wheels all the way around right now and would love to keep that look, but that tall Velorex wheel and tire give the whole rig a lopsided look.

Thanks Again,

Jack

We sell the bolt on heavy duty suspension conversion kits for $300. They fit all Velorex 562, 563,565 and 700 models.

You might want to start by fixing your alignment. You have way to much wheel lead and the sidecar frame should be sitting level side to side and front to back. This all should be done with your weight on the bikes suspention. The front of this sidecar is higher then the back and the inside is lower then the out side of the frame this will be even worse when the rear suspention is compressed on the bike. One thing to keep in mind when changing wheels is the sidecar brake. Brakes can be very nice to have.

Thanks to everyone for the tech info. I think that I have most of it worked out. Proper alignment made the sidecar wheel look almost normal. A certified Harley mechanic helped me out when I shared your feedback with him. He's thinking maybe a fatter tire and larger fender would make the sidecar look more like it belongs to the bike. Thanks again!

You can always send your hub to a wheel builder and have him lace whatever size rim you want. http://www.buchananspokes.net/
