Got a new portable MP3 player from son, for my birthday. It's hooked up thru my GL1500 tape player, using car kit adapter/battery eliminator to pick up power to run it. It's Velcroed to console top when on road. It will play pre-recorded music CD's with no problem and sounds GREAT!
BUT, I have a CD of personal favorite songs which I recorded, that will NOT play on the unit. A guy at work told me they are in the wrong format [whatever THAT means]and there is a way to re-record these songs onto another blank CD, using some sort of translator program on my pc.
HELP! Am NOT a guru with this sort of thing!
Is there some source which will address what I need to do? Could I bring CD somewhere to have this done by others?
ANY ADVICE GRATEFULLY APPRECIATED! TTFN.....Tom in NH

God Bless 'Em !!!

Potato, Potato, Potato, is all the music I need when on the road. Heh, Heh.

Actually I ride all brands, but I just couldn't bear to pass this up.

Cheers all,

Lonnie

Tom, Come on over to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/SKUNKtails/ Someone over there will be happy to tell you to have someone copy the CD to a hard drive and then record it again to a CD. It should work fine for you. It was probably recorded on an old program. Mike
