So, i'm 20 years old, and i'll be getting my first bike this summer. I'm looking at getting a Harley Sportster. Anyways, my knowledge of motorcycles right now is pretty slim, so i was wondering if anyone out there had any advice on whether or not looking into getting a sidecar for a Sportster is practical - or even possible - or if this model would be better off keeping it a solo.

Thanks.

We put a lot of Velorex 562's on all years of Sporty's.
Easy do it yourself installation if you are handy with tools (or have a buddy that is).

Northwest Sidecars

No Damper needed with the velorex.

I just put a Texas Sidecar Ranger on my 05 1200C and it is a BLAST! I have ample power and can run 70mph all day if required. I like to cruise around 60-65 and have no problems. You may need to get a subframe for your particular model (rubber mount vs solid mount Sportsters) to facillitate attatchment. Once again it dependes on your particular Sportster and the car you want. A steering dampner makes life alot easier as well. In short, go for it!
