i just installed a champion escort on my valkyrie after a test ride and running across oncomming traffic. It is obvious something is very wrong. can anyone recommend a good set up man in the cincinnati, ohio. Any help is greatly apreciated.
Jim,
I am in Fla so do not know set-up man in Cincinnati but some good reading and it is free can be found here at the link below.

hope this is some help.
Are you sure it is set up that is the problem? You can check for excessive toe in or lean out, both of which will send the rig left, or dragging front brakes.
Sounds more typical of rider input. If you haven't spent much time on sidecars, lapsing into the habit of countersteering will do this. So will over correcting for or not correcting the sidecars natural tendency to veer right with throttle and to veer left with application of front brakes or rolling off the throttle.
The Valkyrie/Champion Legend I rode had a tendency to pivot with throttle and brake application, which would magnify incorrect driver input.
If you are new to sidecars, I strongly advise you take a class and practice out of traffic before you go out on the street again. If you are experienced with sidecars, nevermind, it must be setup.
Good luck! keep us posted!
If a lapse into sountersteering is the issue as Vernon mentioned (and it surely can be) try this. Next time you take it out consiously relax the steering input you have on one hand, either one is okay. This will mean you are basically steering with one hand even though the other is still safely on the bars. When IO first started an old guy told me to try this and it helped me a lot. Since then someone with a lot of education tried to explain why it worked to me as related to left side/right side of the brain and all kinds of technical terms. I got more info from the old guy who just said to try it ...lol.
Practice in a safe place and not in traffic!
