Does anyone know where a reverse kit for a 2003 Indian Chief is available for sale?
Thank you.

The 2003 was basically a 5 speed Harley. Check with Mamba or Champion.

We offer the Champion kit and have installed in on the Chief however we found that the case bolts needed to be shortened by about 1/4 inch other wise no problem at all.

Many thanks to Lonnie and Jay for their expert and helpfull information.
I've checked the AIM Mamba MB003-003, price is $1649, seems easier and friendlier to install.
I've also checked the Champion A-REV-001, price is $1395, installation seems more involved than my preference allows.
I'm leaning toward the AIM Mamba model.

I do not know about the AIM Mamba MB003-003 but with the champion if you have it in forward gear and in reverse it will really mess up your transmission.

The AIM reverse uses 2-brass shear pins to avoid grenading the tranny if this occurs.

I looked up the AIM and you have to run true duals with it and true duals are not the best pipes on dressers. When it comes to reverse make sure you check to see what you have to do about pipes. Baker makes one for about the price of the AIM last time I looked and it is operated electrically and with the saftey set up you are not suppose to be able to mess up the transmission.

A reverse would be nice but all I do is make sure I park correctly and it is not a problem.

Just curious why you say this. I'm running true duals and very happy with them. Was going to go with two into one but the sidecar mounts were in the way. I wanted to get away from the cross over pipe because it kept splitting right at the Y.

If you look at dyno sheets you will see that they cut down on low end torque and do not preform as well as many other pipes. There is a reason why cars, truck as well as motorcycles come with the exhaust connected to other cylinders. The reason the pipes are connected to each other is as an exhaust valve closes some of the exhaust lingers at the exhaust port and when the exhaust valve on the other cylinder opens it helps suck the remaining exhaust from the other cylinder. If they are not connected then the lingering exhaust is sucked back in to the combustion chamber and decrease performance. Do some research from those not trying to sell true duals. If you like them run them I just will not run them on mine. It is much better to run the stock header with some low restricted mufflers.

Thanks Jeff. I might go back if I ever decide to go another route. I'm running Thunder Max efi and it's tuned for my current pipes. Long story that I won't go into here. Don't want to hijack this thread (if I haven't already done so...) But my bike is running better than it has for a few years. '96 FLH/Liberty with 121,000 on the clock.
