I'm sure this might be on here somewere already but I cannot figure out how to search for it.

I'm rebuilding (frame up) a Velorex to go on a Yamaha V-star. Bike currently has a Dunlop 404F J (180/90 16) on the front and a Dunlop 404 (170/80 15) on the rear. Both like new (less than 200 miles). The car has a Nankang 3.50 16 on it that needs to be replaced. What would be the best choice?

Thanks all for any input.

Mike

I assume that 180/90 16 front tire is a typo stock size is 130/90 16. Back to the sidecar, obviously another Nankang 3.50 16 or an IRC 21 3.50 16 but as best choice I suggest an Heidenau 3.50 – 16 M/C 58P TT.

The longest wearing tire with the stiffest sidewalls would be the OEM Velorex tire. A 3.50x16 Mitas 4 ply sidecar tire.

Thank you for the responses. Sorry it too so long to write back. We had a major outbreak of flu in the house.

I obviously read the tire size wrong on the front. I'm going to do some researh on the tires suggested. Would like very much to have the rig on the road in time for the national rally. Thanks again.
