Because of there construction they usually have a hi mileage rubber compound in the center of the tire which would be nice for a sidecar rig, wadda ya think, good idea or not.

A lot of Goldwing trike riders do use it. Some install it correct direction some in reverse.

I run one on the front of our gl1800/Hannigan outfit. I've got 16k miles on it and the tire still has lots of tread left. The rig handles just fine. I'll do it again when the time comes to replace it..

A rear tire needs to be oriented backwards when mounted on the front wheel. Look at the thread sipes (chevron pattern) in comparison to a front tire. Mounted incorrectly it may be prone to hydroplaning at lower speeds.

I'm running a rear tire on my GL1500, has about 2k on it now with no indication of wear. Only thing I dislike is it is a lot noiser then a stock front tire. Getting ready to take a trip from Mobile, Al to Omaha, NE. next month. Will let y'all know how the tire works on the trip.
