I am wanting to remove my hack from my bike to do some servicing and was wondering if anyone has tried any quick disconnect brake lines. Do you have to bleed system after reconnecting? Whats your experience? My bike is a 1998 HD Ultra with factory sidecar

Some air gets in so you have to bleed system after reconnecting anyway.

I disagree, we use quick disconnects and you do not need to bleed the brakes if you know how to use them. What you do is turn the female end up right, then take a probe of some sort (screw driver) and depress the check ball long enough for a drop of fluid to form. Then keeping the female end up right, push the male end in. The fluid prevents air from entering the system.

Spiegler makes what they call "DRY BRAKE CONNECTORS" that are used in racing to swap calipers without bleeding. Using a set on my HD hack and have had the car off a couple times for servicing and changing tires and have not had to bleed. You can also ride without the car on with the brake line just dead ended. Not cheap but then nothing on an HD is.
