Pat,

It's an older Velorex (model 530??) that has been modified quite a bit. The wheel doesn't appear to be standard and the platform between the bike and the car has been added. This older Velorex sidecars are very appealing to folks with older bikes for which they would be period correct. It looks like you've got a good start on a project.

Looks like an old Velorex 560. Good for a small bike.

That sidecar was built for Jawa bikes with 250-350cc engines. They were much lighter than the CB900 you have planned for it.

I would give it some serious thought before I stuck that sidecar on a bike of that size.

I have lot's of new OEM Velorex/Jawa frame clamp assemblies.

With the modular wheel, suspension and fender, it could be a Bingham car.
Does it have a round tube frame? Or is it rectangular?

That doesn't always mean anything. The previous owner could have ridden with 200 pounds in the sidecar. Just make sure you follow the 3 to 1 rule. Your bike, with you sitting on it needs to weigh no more than three times the weight of the empty sidecar.

With a round tube frame it's not a 560 Velorex, probably a Bingham.
The Velorex cycle mounts will fit though.

And don't forget to come to the SKUNKS in the Woods Rally, even if the rig isn't ready yet. You'll get lots of ideas and meet lots of fellow sidecarists.. We always have a lot of folks from the Milwaukee area attend. http://www.cwizard.com/skunk/ for details
