I am new to side-caring with an '88 GL1500 w/ Motorvation car. I'm thoroughly enjoying the rig but it is a handful without a leading links front end or a steering damper. My questions are: what steering damper should I purchase and can I install it myself? Regarding the LL front end, I hate to spend that kind of money on a 20 year old bike; is there a less expensive way to address the heavy steering? If not, where should I look for a used LL setup?

Thanks for your collective assistance,

Mike

You can get a damper from Motorvationnthat will bolt on.
Raked triple trees are cheaper than LL's and the bike still looks as stock with easy steering.
Check out vendor's links at this site.
