I have been researching a replacement shock for my Champion Escort rig and found these two sites. I haven't purchased anything yet from either one, so no comment on their service. They are sold in pairs only, but the prices are decent.

Why not take your measurements or old shock down to Bent Bike on Highway 99 in Lynnwood and see what they've got for cheap?
I've gotten good ones for 20 to 25 bucks.

Don't overlook ATV shocks. I found the perfect spring rate shocks on a Yamaha BigBear 350 ATV for my custom sidecar body suspension.

A used motorcycle parts place is a good ideal (like Bent Bike in Lynnwood). But my problem was trying to match up the spring weight that I would need.
