My stock 2003 Road King 88(FLHRI) with Liberty Sidecar but with a taller windshield from stock (due to my hieghth) has averaged about 32 miles per gallon regularly. It goes up a couple mpg on long highway drives but holds at 32 in the city very regularly. It goes down slightly with a passenger and gear. Most of my riding is city commuting. Since the conversion of the Road King to a prime mover in late 2005 I've put 20K on it as an outfit in all weather conditions. I save data at every fill up with gas since purchasing the bike new and have a mountain of data on spread sheets to support the evidence of 32 mpg average. Prior to mounting the chair I was getting an average of 39-40 mpg as a solo in city riding and much higher on the highway.
