Mounting sidecar on Kaw 1500 Vulcan classic

Hello all; first, I'm new to sidecars. I have a 1500 Vulcan Classic that I'm planning on mounting a DMC sidecar on. It is the Chinese car that they sold in their early days. I have a mounting kit from DMC for another bike; of course it wont fit as is. I do want to try to use what I have as much as possible, and build what I don't have. I own a machine shop, so execution shouldn't be a problem, I just need any words of wisdom I can get from you experienced guys. Just joined the forum; looks like some good solid advice to be had. Looking forward to becoming a part of the community.
