I've looked but can see no easy way to grease the suspension pivot point. I take it there is no grease zerk. Can one be added easily? Has anyone done it? Or do you have to take the whole bloody thing apart and grease it up?

There is no accomodation for a grease zerk.
To reach the bearings requires the removal of 1- Cotter pin and 1- pivot bolt from the swing-arm. (Not a huge "bloody" task.)
I know of noone who has regreased the pivot bearings and have heard of no failures of the bearings in the last few decades.
I have lubricated the dust seals however.

Thanks for your input. Looks like I'd have to take the wheel off plus the other. Would just be easy to pump a few pumps in a zerk. I'm big on preventitive maintenance and was just wondering. Doesn't sound like I need to worry about it a whole lot. The hack still has the original tire with lots of nibs on it yet. It's a 2000 model bought used. So, next rainy weekend maybe.
