Spent a couple of hrs mowing today! No breakdowns =)

Now i know this is a long shot but is there anyone within a reasonable distance who could fit a Bridgestone Rear tire on the front wheel of my wing but in reverse direction?

Location Buffalo KS 66717

I will give what help i can of course =) Yes i have the tire

Thanks

Steve an Sam (sidecar superpup)

Well if you could get to the St. Louis, MO area I could do it for ya. But I think you're about 6 hours away. Kinda far for a tire change,,,lol.

Did you have a problem with the front? Or are you putting a rear tire on front in reverse?

Front tire was at it EOL.  Using a rear tire mounted backwards for longevity and braking on the front.  I know that I would struggle using tire spoons to put on a tire the first few times.

Steve, I will mention it to Miles who will be there some time tomorrow (IIRC).

@calvin-watson Current front is many years old and well past its sell by date. Yes rear Bridgestone on the front in reverse should make a big difference to handling

When you say "within a reasonable distance" you forgot to say from where.  In other words, where are you located?

Calvin, caretaker of Sidecar Willie, the answer is NO.... not only was it 95 friggin degrees outside, but installing a brand new Bridgestone BT-46 rear tire onto the front wheel of a Goldwing 1500 should be done in a shop, using a proper tire machine.... NOT done using tire irons or spoons.

Great way to destroy the beads on a new Bridgestone BT-46 rear tire, wrench on it with tire irons or spoons.

Steve is not in a physical condition to attempt that, and I am far too intelligent to ruin a brand new Bridgestone BT-46 rear tire....in 95 friggin degrees....to do that.

Just needs to find a shop in Wichita, or elsewhere, to take it to.

Oh, and Ned @ned,  did I mention it was 95 friggin degrees outside in BUFFALO, Cans Ass.

I felt so sorry for Paul (bentleyssq)  every time I talked to him as he was dismantling his 1500 Goldwing. It was VERY hot in Florida at the time. He could only work a couple of hours in the morning and then he was done. He's 74 years old I think. He sent me a pic showing a heat index of 111 degree's. That's too hot for anybody. I don't care how old, or young you are,,,lol.

Good news is he just texted me he'll be here in just a couple of hours with the Unit leading link front end, and a pile of other goodies off the bike. Whoo hoo!
