I had a small leak from my transmission. It looked like a bit of the factory RTV sealer between the case halves had worked out. To do it right would have meant a complete teardown of the bike to remove the engine/transmission assembly. Not a pretty prospect.

I had tried Permatex RTV and later their spray on sealer. Of course, i thoroughly cleaned the surface first. Didn't work. Someone on ADVRider mentioned Hylomar. I finally found some after searching the internet. After swallowing the price ($$$) I ordered it. I put on a wide bead over the area of the leak, let it dry and repeated.

It has worked and no more leak!

If you have a hard to stop small oil leak, remember HYLOMAR. 😉

Paul, I have a similar tranny leak that is currently under control but who knows how long. So I'm interested in this Hylomar stuff you used, but Hylomar makes 36 different products (full list HERE .) Which kind are you using?
